Updates here ground to a halt for the last few weeks while a work project was occupying my time.  Its no fun when a client allocates time for the architectural, engineering, and construction phases, but forgets the time required for review by the city building permit department.  The project’s out the door today, nearly 2 weeks ahead of schedule, so I can breathe a little easier and maybe come up with something new to write about.  Now we’ll see if the contractor can shave 25% off his estimated schedule.
