Spare the Weight: Use Valentine Candy to Calculate the Speed Of Light

Wired.com has an experiment you can perform at home with chocolate candies to calculate the speed of light. Its the same principle as behind the method Cliff Stoll used to calculate the speed of sound in this video.   i.e. Frequency x wavelength = speed.  The cleverness is in the means of measurement. End of a Busy 3 Weeks

Updates here ground to a halt for the last few weeks while a work project was occupying my time.  Its no fun when a client allocates time for the architectural, engineering, and construction phases, but forgets the time required for review by the city building permit department.  The project’s out the door today, nearly 2 weeks ahead of schedule, so I can breathe a little easier and maybe come up with something new to write about.  Now we’ll see if the contractor can shave 25% off his estimated schedule.
