Look Up Mad Scientist and You’ll See a Picture Of This Guy
by walter on Jan.10, 2010, under Dissonance
Can you imagine this guy as your 8th grade science teacher? Amazing! When I watched this TED Talk by Clifford Stoll, I couldn’t help but think of the Tigger song.
A wonderful thing is a Tigger;
A Tigger’s a wonderful thing.

fun, fun, fun, fun, fun,
The most wonderful thing
about Tiggers is:
I’m the only one.

Carl Sagan Sings

Auto-Tune, that technology that lets the most untalented singers stay in tune, is used in this video to make clips from Carl Sagan’s 1980 miniseries Cosmos into a surprisingly enjoyable music video. Kudos to whomever the talented person was who put this together.

How Not To Build a Rocket
by walter on May.05, 2009, under Dissonance
Post-WWII Soviet Russia, experimental rocketry, corrosive chemicals, explosives, massive conflagration, flaming people. Thank God Apollo 1 didn’t end like this one, or we’d never have tried again. (continue reading…)
